Plan Juntos

El Plan Juntos aporta al ODS 1 trabajando en las áreas territoriales con contexto crítico, con un enfoque colectivo – comunitario y atendiendo las necesidades de refacciones y mejoras de vivienda que se presentan en forma dispersa.

Larry Vassella, Fátima Biurrarena y sus cuatros hijos viven en Fray Bentos en una vivienda, construída por ellas en el marco de Plan Juntos. La familia se mudo en setiembre de 2017 y desde entonces consideran que les cambió la vida, especialmente porque el espacio que habitaban anteriormente era muy pequeño para la familia. Larry cuenta que construyó su propia casa y que de a poco con ayuda de familiares la está equipando. La familia realizó una huerta en el fondo de la misma, y para él haber logrado todo esto es como haber “ganado el 5 de Oro”.

The Plan Juntos helps people who live in harsh socio-economic conditions, to build and repair their own houses with a collective community strategy.  This main goal is also helped through several public policies in order to build up citizenship in the community. 

Larry Vassella and Fátima Biurrarena and their four sons live in Fray Bentos in a house, built by themselves in the frame Plan Juntos. The family moved in there in September 2017 and since then they have assessed that their life has changed dramatically. In fact, they had been living in a one-room house. However, their new house is composed by a master bedroom, a living room (kitchenette included) and one bathroom. However, they are planning to build another room for their little children.  With pride they showed us their vegetable garden in the backyard. Larry compares this new situation to having won the lottery.
