Energía fotovoltaica en complejo Mevir

Fabiana López y Daniel Rodríguez junto a sus 3 hijos viven desde noviembre de 2017 en uno de los complejos de MEVIR en Solís de Mataojo que cuenta con un sistema de colectores solares que permite contar con energía fotovoltaica para calentar el agua de la casa.
“Durante todo el verano no enchufé el calefón”, cuenta Fabiana quien asegura que esto les permite reducir el costo mensual de electricidad sin que les afecte el uso del agua caliente.

Uruguay cuenta con la Ley 18.585 del año 2009 que promueve el desarrollo de la Energía Solar Térmica. En este marco, en el 2017, UTE, el MIEM y MEVIR firmaron un convenio para instalar equipos solares térmicos en las viviendas de ese programa.

"During the whole summer I did not plug in the water heater," says Fabiana, who says that this allows them to reduce the monthly cost of electricity without affecting the use of hot water.

Uruguay has Law 18,585 of 2009 that promotes the development of Solar Thermal Energy. Within this framework, in 2017, UTE, MIEM and MEVIR signed an agreement to install solar thermal equipment in the homes of that program.
